What color will the black hair dye fade into?

My roots are dark brown and the rest of my hair is golden/brown/auburn, a mixture of those. If I dye my hair black what will the rest of my hair fade into? Will my hair stay black? Will I get good coverage?What color will the black hair dye fade into?
If your using a wash out one or semi-permanent i'm not sure but if your using permanent Black hair colour it will go Black all over with good coverage. My hair hasn't faded into any colour it is still Black.





I had pretty much the same hair colour as you before I coloured my hair Black but medium Brown roots %26amp; it went really Black all over. You will have to colour your roots as they grow.

Ok well if you have blonde hair it will fade to gray.


If you have brownish hair it will fade to red.


And if you have red hair it will face to brown.


When you go get your hair done do highlights first just to see if that's what you really want because stripping your hair from black is a pain! I was in the salon for 10 hours striping my hair. So be careful^^

A couple months ago i died my natural hair (brown) to a shade soft black and last week i tried dying it back to brown and now my roots are red it will not change back.... Now i have to get my hair stripped and i'm only 14 yrs old so my hair will be very damaged.... Just go for a way dark brown!!!!!!!!!!

It'll go back to the hair color you had before you put on the black hair dye. (:
