What kind of hair dye color can you choose to turn black hair into brown?

I have black hair i was thinking to dye it like a dark or medume brown what is the bes color should i pick to turn black into brown,What kind of hair dye color can you choose to turn black hair into brown?
Well You might need to bleach it first. But Dark brown always looks like a black, so go with like a lightish brown.What kind of hair dye color can you choose to turn black hair into brown?
Your best bet is to have it professionally done. Black hair is not lightened easily and will turn orange or brassy if you try to lighten it or use normal haircolor on it. Black is the most difficult to get out of hair, trust me. It will have to be professionally lightened. I would suggest maybe starting with a full highlight to give it an allover appearance of being lighter without doing too much damage to your hair.
There is no hair dye that will change it from black to brown.Unless you live in the states , because there is a product thats called colour opps!

bleach first, then try brown. usually works for me.
Something with a red base will look best. Trust me! :)
a very light brown color....or dirty blond maybe cuz ur hair is already black...so it probably wont go that light...but i dunno..dont count on me...that is just my opinion...
