It's permanent home colourant, put in 2 months ago. Has faded to soft black now, but I want it dark brown.

Pre lightener but I really would recommend going to a salon because I had the same problem and going to the salon saved me so much time and effort, it looked better too.How do you fade black hair dye from your hair?
The only way to go lighter with hair color is to bleach it, and if it is home color you will need to go to the salon to get it out (they can do a color remover on you) this is to avoid that patchy brassy look.
