My question is, will dying black hair without bleaching do anything? Or will I just be left with a puddle of dye and black hair?
I was considering using something like Special Effects hair dye, Manic Panic, or something similar.Is it possible to dye naturally black hair without bleaching?
I really recommend bleaching with unnatural colors, I know you don't want bright or bold, but the colors just last longer and take better to bleached hair. I have naturally dirty blonde hair and I've tried dying over it with just Special Effects and it did nothing. Bleaching is kind of intentional damage to your hair and veggie dyes, such as Special Effects and Manic Panic take to slightly damaged hair better. But that said, there are some colors that may show up on dark hair, they are:
Special Effects: Blood Red, Blue Velvet, Burgundy, Wine, Deep Purple %26amp; Sonic Green
Manic Panic: After Midnight Blue, Black %26amp; Blue, Deadly Nightshade, Enchanted Forest, %26amp; Vampire Red
Also, Special Effects is a MUCH better brand. The colors last longer and take better to hair then Manic Panic. They also seem to fade out nicely.Is it possible to dye naturally black hair without bleaching?
It is impossible to have black hair you know that right. lol XD

i dont really know but i think you might need to because black is a pretty dark colour.

For natural black hair yes it is, there is color but all have some type of dye or bleach. Just be careful using these products
Well, If you're just looking for a tint Manic Panic may work. It really depends on how well your hair takes color. My friend who has black hair used Manic Panic and it left a pretty tint.

if you are wanting a dark purple it would work you just cannot go lighter than what you are without bleach but you can change the tone of your hair add red, purple, green
