How to Dye Black hair to A bright or dark green?

I have always wanted to dye my dark black hair green. While i was in London i purchased a semi permanent dye that promised my hair would be a bright spring green. The dye did absolutely nothing other than stain my hands and leave my hair as black as usual. How can i dye my hair green. If so, what dye should i use to do so. Also, is it possible to make a green dye with household products.. Any answers will be appreciated. How to Dye Black hair to A bright or dark green?
It depends on what colors your hair pulls in its normal environment. For instance, my hair pulls a lot of red when I get into the sun. So I have to watch that when I go lighter. You might have to bleach some areas of the hair to get a good green. I would suggest talking to a professional stylist first. When you dye hair you are breaking bonds in the hair that hold onto the color. However, once you break these bonds they are broken and can no longer be used. So if you dye your hair blond and then try to dye it green, the green might not hold as well on the newly dyed hair. You might also have to weight a few weeks in between since going from the black to blond is going to take a toll on your hair and the last thing you want to do is end up frying it off. Bleach your hair first, then dye it. Same thing happened to me before. I have natural jet black hair and all dyes turned out darker than thay look on the box.
u cannot dye black hair anything lighter without bleaching first

but if your hair is naturally black u prolly wont have to leave the bleach that long..
