Hair Dye Stain Removal from Carpet
An unfortunate accident with hair dye can make cleaning carpet a nightmare. In many cases, it may even mean the end of your carpet. Hopefully it won't come to this. There are a few things you can try to remove carpet stains of this nature. First of all, it should go without saying that if hair dye is spilled on the carpet one should act immediately. Dampen a sponge and apply dishwashing liquid. Blot the stain with the sponge until you've lifted as much of the dye as possible. You can also try doing the same thing with vinegar. If this doesn't work and the stain hasn't set into the carpet too deep, you might be able to snip the very top fibers of the carpet without anyone knowing. If none of this works, you'll have to call in a professional who makes cleaning carpet stains his business or rearrange your furniutre to hide the stain
Good luck! =)How do i get black hair dye out of my carpet?
nope, black won't come out, it will only come up to a red shade. I suggest you either get a new bathroom carpet, cover it with another carpet, or piece it and glue it down (that is, if a new piece would not be too different a color from the rest of the pale green.
try using a product called soillove - I SWEAR by this stuff,.. its in a green bottle and it takes out everything! If you dont have that available,.. you can also use rubbing alcohol,.. but dont RUB it,.. dab it. Its best if you have a shop vac to help suck out the stain, but if you dont have one thats fine too,.. just keep dabbing
It is likely that the carpet is ruined, but it is expensive to decide to just get rid of it.
Try some nail color remover - and just dab it with a cotton ball or other rag. Don't use polish remover or acetate based stuff as that is almost certain to damage the carpet. The non acetone base is often a pain to remove nail polish, but that is because it is less harsh. Just dab at it. In reality - it can't get much worse, and it might help.
you don't
Sorry but you don't.
If you've written this post then its dried in. Dye colors the fibers of the carpet so it doesn't come out. Either color the rest of the carpet, replace it, or find a way to live with it.
I would try RIT dye remover.
you can try trimming the bit where the dye went with some sharp scissors and then working some pale green powder eyeshadow into the patch. Have tried similar with beige carpet.
hi my sister dyes her hair permanent black and she cleans it off using Head and Shoulders shampoo this was told to her by her hairstylist and hey it works good luck
yes..hydrogen peroxide and white vinegar.pour on the spot an let sit for a few minutes.rub with a cloth.pat to absorb excess water. if the stain is still slightly visible.use resolve carpet cleaner. repeart process of letting sit for a few minutes. and walla! the stains gone. good luck..providing you haven't ruined your carpet already.
Get another carpet!
women
I would start with hydrogen peroxide, do a little and use of clean rag, and blot with paper towel, make sure you change the paper towel ofter, you don't want to put the stain on again. If that does not do it Then try ammonia or vinegar.
You will probably need to call the professionals for this--because anything strong enough to get the dye out will damage the carpet.
buy a rug. It aint coming out
Try some hydrogen peroxide plus small amount of ammonia and use a cotton bud to apply this solution to the dye . It can take 2-3 days before you start to see any difference - that's if it is going to work . You can speed this up by warming the cleaning solution with a hairdryer - but not near any water !!!
Hope that works
