How can I turn black hair into a dark brown color?

I don't want to get it done at the salon or buy any products at the drugstore, but I just want it to be lighter by using tea or lemon juice or something like that.

If your hair is actually black, don't lighten it. Everyone has brown, but very few have black hair, which is so dramatic and beautiful. Also, home remedies might not have the desired effect, they might lighten it, but not to brown.How can I turn black hair into a dark brown color?
sorry hon ain't gonna work.I'm a hair stylist and you have to strip your hair otherwise known as corrective coloring.any color you apply from a drug store will not work color won't lift color.....your best bet is to either pay the buck to get it done or just wear your hair up until it grows out so far.....black on the last few inches of your hair is in now it will look like you had it done on purpose.

al ittle peroxide will work,But use just a little!!!! Or you will be blonde!!!
Hunnie, my best advice would be to go to the store and bye hair color and color it a lighter color, that way you know its going to work....
try peroxide that works pretty good and lemon juice and sit out in the sun and over a short amount of time it will lighten or if u do decide to go into the salon try a light brown or blond highlights

lemon juice will work but your result might have a reddish tint
