Putting red streaks in natural black hair?

I've been thinking of putting red streaks through out my hair or dying the tips of my strands. I don't want to bleach my hair in case the red goes really vibrant and bright. I want the red to be dark-maroon but still visible. What brand and process would people recommend?Putting red streaks in natural black hair?

you'll probably have to bleach (If there is another way I haven't found it yet) if you want something noticeable, sorry, but I have black hair too and I've attempted everything short of bleaching so far, but now that it's been a good two years since I've done anything to my hair, I'm going to bleach soon cause I've been wanting to dye for a while





if you go to a good salon they should be able to give you what you want w/o it being too bright (I would suggest doing that if you don't have experience with bleach and funky color dyes in dark hair)

You have to bleach your hair,no matter how dark you want the hair to be, punky colors like that is straight deposit, no ammonia, it's just a stain, it doesn't left color of any kind. if you do it over your dark hair it'll just be black with red in the light.
