What color streak would look good in JET BLACK hair?

I have jet black hair, and i was wondering what color streak would look best in it. I want something cool, but subtle. I was thinking a really dark plum shade, so it kind of blends in, but still somewhat noticeable. Also, if you could tell me where to buy the color, and how long it lasts, that would be great. thanks! What color streak would look good in JET BLACK hair?
a hot magenta or a platinum bleach blonde... maybe even a bright red. my friend has jet black hair and she's done both colors and they look amazing. i don't think any other color would look quite as hot or stand out as much. ;o)

manic panic is a good product for achieving this look. you can get it at any beauty supply store.

oh and manic panic lasts for about a month.. or longer!! depending on the shampoo you use and how much you wash your hair. i would use a color saving shampoo and wash my hair every other day to every two days. it's healthier for the hair not to wash it everyday! ;o)

hope i've helped!

p.s. and the plum would look awesome too. ;o)What color streak would look good in JET BLACK hair?
red

well thats what my sis has and its really cool looking
red looks really hot in jet black
DON'T do it yourself! You need a strong dye or even a bleach to colour jet black hair. You shouldn't risk ruining it. Pop into a top hair salon and talk to a colour technician. They can help you choose a colour. This should be free. If you're happy and can afford it, book yourself an appointment to have your hair done for you. If not, remember what you learned and see someone at your regular salon to do it for you.
pink

blonde

red

purple

blue
i would say any color cept balck lol:)
its called HOT red, they sell it at sallys, it looks sooo nice with black hair, my friends cousin has it in her hair and she's a hair dresser. it lasts about a month and a half before it starts fading out
eather a dark purple like u said a plum color or a darker red.
A dark plum might blend in too much, but it'd still be really pretty.

You could go with a bolder purple, or a dark blue too.

Or if you wanted a warmer tone, you could go with a dark red, which would look neat!

You could buy it at hot topic (it will probably require bleaching though). I think that's semi permanent. Or you could go to a salon to be sure it would look good. For once streak + bleaching it would probably be around 30-40 bucks.
Any color, really. Black goes with any color.
i like burgundy and black hair together. i think that if your streak is too light or high contrast, it can have kind of a ';skunk'; look. don't do blonde or white or light red...either burgundy or plum, something really rich would look good. you're on the right track. also, you should probably get it done professionally. when lifting color at home, it's a little tricky and can turn out badly. one alternative method for next time (and this would be easy to do at home) is to color it burgundy all over, then streak with black (the opposite). that way, you're not lifting color, only depositing, which is much easier to do at home...best wishes.
i wouldnt do any light color because it will look horrible in 2 weeks.. the plum color sounds good or a dark purplee.. just be sure that you want jet black hair because its so hard to get it light again!
I would go with a deep red or an eggplant color. a salon can do it best.
Turquoise. It'll look cool.

Red normally suits Black. If u want to be noticed then don't go for subtle Go bold and go get em. Schwarzkopf LIVE do some great reds.
a really dark blonde maybe
I think a bleu streak would look awesome!! It would be noticeable and subtle at the same time and would go great with black hair!! Either that or a deep red!
a sparkly blue would be cute and u will get a lot of complements trust me my friend did it it is really cute
try starship or hot topic (store or online) then have all different hair colors from pinks, purples, blues and all that stuff. if you dye it jet black--the color might not come through. When I dye my hair pink I have to bleach where I wanted it to be pink b/c my hair was colored. I would buy a color and have a salon do it.
Plum would be nice

or gray..just a little bit..not too much

just pick what you want

they sell that stuff at CVS and beauty supply stores i think but plum is definately a really pretty color for you hair
OMG! i have jet black natural hair, and i got a plum and turquoise streak put in.i love it. it looks really funky sweet.

im not sure where you can get it to do yourself. i'd just suggest getting it done at a salon =)
i have jet black hair and i have a dark red/pink and i get a lot of complements in it.

i use manic panic ';red passion'; but they have other colors.

you can get it at speners gifts or sally's beauty salon. or their website.
i've just put red in my daughter-in-laws hair and it looks fabulous.....
1 white streak

..

Like Stacy London from ';What not to wear';
tint of green :D
do a red, that would look soooo cool
Hmm... I don't do subtle colors (if you're going to damage your hair, at least make it so people will notice it!) but maybe a dark red? That'd be cool!
Maybe you could do a random blonde streak. Ive seen it and it looks totally rad.
Well, first off, what's your sex? What's your style?

Girl

Style: punk- I suggest you get hotpink

Style: chilled- I suggest you get maroon

Style: preppy- I suggest you get dirty blonde

Guy

Style: punk- I suggest you get either hotpink, blue or purple

Style: chilled- I suggest you get a subtle brown

Style: preppy- I suggest you get blonde

Now, where to get it? If you're on a low buget, go to Walmart and pick out something from Revlon's choices.

If you don't mind spending the extra buck, go to Paul Michell and get it done there. It'll be amazing when they finish.

Hope I help, love.

Cheers!
