Is there any homemade remedy that will make my dark brown almost black hair into a lighter dark brown?

I don't want light brown hair but i want it just a bit lighter so it looks more brown than black. Any suggestion? prefer to use something natural since I'm not looking for drastic changes plus my hair is already dry and I don't wanna damage it anymore.Is there any homemade remedy that will make my dark brown almost black hair into a lighter dark brown?
lemon juice MIGHT work, I know it lightens hair but I'm not sure how light your hair must be in the first place.
