How do you dye black hair blonde?

I don't have money to get it done professionally and I would love to have blonde hair! So is there a dye you can buy that will work? How do you dye black hair blonde?
step away from the color bottle and let a pro handle this. black hair has to go through all the color stages to get to blonde and orange is right in the middle, if you take the color off too soon guess what color you get???? yup, thats right, ORANGE! if you get blonde it probably wont be a color you like so you have to use another color to tone it. if you don't get the right base you never know what you will come out with. i've seen orange, blue, green, lavender. take a pros advice and go to a pro, it will be worth it. and btw, are you sure blonde will look good? thats a lot of effort just to not like it and change it back in a few days. oh, and i won't talk about the damage to your hair. :)How do you dye black hair blonde?
It will cost more but your hair needs to be stripped first. This is done at a hair salon. Will take longer to do compared to homemade box stuff. But the results are great. Not all salons know how to do this. So shop around for the best salon.

Good luck and have fun been a Blondie.

Take care.
If you have black hair unfortunatly you will not be able to get it blonde with a hair colour, your only option would be to use bleach. But this will not lift the hair to blonde,(you probably wont get much further than an orange tone) there is only so long that you can leave bleach on the hair for as its not like a colour and will carry on developing untill your hair disintigrates.

Your best bet would be to go to your nearest salon, they will be able to give you advice on your hair and usually offer a free consultation with no obligation. This will give you some sort of idea. I seriously suggest that you dont attempt it yourself. Goodluck!!
i used a pre lightener all over my black hair coz i didn't have the money to get it done professionally as i wanted blonde hair, it turned bright orange like a carrot! i then had to put a brown dye on it which covered it now hairdressers wont touch it and I'm having to grow it out. you can try and use Voseen shampoo as this helps strip the colour out of your hair. Save your money up and go to a hairdresser its worth it when messing with bleach. as that is all you can use when going blonde when your hair is black.
You'd have to bleach it first. But I'd seriously get it done at the hairdressers, Even if it means saving up your money for a while, it'd deffinitly be worth it.
i dyed my sisters hair... she has brown hair then dyed it black.. well the black started to come out and was almost gone then we dyed it blonde.. it wasnt good , her roots was yellow and her hair was red and orange... bleaching will damage your hair..
bleach it

it worked for me

but then i dyed it black again lol

but ye use blonde bleach but make sure you use lots of conditioner and everythin because it dries it out

-x-
you have to bleach your hair out first then color it so the roots are the same color
Black hair will go yellow if you try and die it blonde. You really need to get that done professionally and that still might not work. You need to at least seek professional advice.
Before it was when your hair color choices were blonde, red, brunette, and black, but now each basic hair color comes in a full array of choices so you can do a strand test for yourself and decide what suits you best . More information at http://moreaboutcolor.blogspot.com/
I'm a hairdresser, and I'm not just saying this to give them the business, but with that dark of hair, you are not going to get the results that you want by doing this at home. I don't even recommend starting this. You may damage the hair, and when retouching, you have to be careful. When it comes to retouches, you do not want to put the bleach on the already bleached hair. To do so over and over, may result in breakage of the hair at that point. There are a lot of various pigments colors in the hair, reds and golds. You may end up with those red and gold pigments still in your hair if it is not lightened to the proper stage. JMO, but I would find a professional, and it is going to take upkeep every few weeks. Being black hair it will be much more noticeable when the new growth appears. You may want to think about this first, unless you do end up at the hairdresser. You can figure every month having it retouched, unless you don't mind the black new growth, showing :)
