It will start to fade after 2 weeks, and then it will depend on how well your hair holds color. If I were you I would get some shampoo and conditioner that is made for color treated hair so you wont fade or loose your color as fast. Black hair. That's hard to say. Semi-permanet is suppose to stay in for 4-8 weeks, BUT with black hair, It could go away/fade, or it could stay in your hair, making you have to bleach your hair to get rid of it.


Blonde, with Bleach, It's there till it grows out or you color over it. Or if it's permanent, It may fade slightly, But it's there till you color over or grow it out.
it depends on how fast you hair grows and what kind of shampoo you use.. and the hair dye itself. They have lots good stuff at Sally's Beauty Supply, [awesome store] but that Nice'n Easy hair dye brand also works great too.

My hair's light brown, too. I dyed it black (yes, semi-permanent) and It faded to dark brown in a matter of weeks. Then my roots started coming out and now my hair looks really bad. :(
Black, when you do it yourself it will stay in 2-5 weeks. If you do it at a salon it will stay in 2-11 weeks.
Semi permanent dyes usually last about... 2-6 depending on your care of them. :)
