So. My husband begged and begged me to dye my hair black just to see how it looked and before even thinking I decided to go for it. Now I can't seem to get it out. I want my blonde hair back. What do I do? I have 2 and a half weeks before my cruise to bermuda and I really really don't want all those people to see me like this! PLEASE HELP!How can I dye my black hair back to blonde?
First, go to a store and find a blond dye that you like that was closest to your old hair color and then buy it.
Go to a salon and tell the stylist you want your hair blond and show them the bottle to use. Make sure he/she bleaches your hair before dying so it'll turn out exactly like the bottle of dye you just bought.
Let them work their magic. :]
Now you have your hair back to blond.
Also, I'm going to warn you that this excess dying and bleaching will fry your hair and make it dry. Make sure you take extra good care of your hair after that.
ALWAYS condition every time you even step in that shower.
Avoid heating tools under any condition.
Wear a hat to protect your hair in the sun.
If you cannot wear a hat or must use heating products, make sure you use a heat protector in your hair. I would recommend Tresemme Heat Protectant or CHI Silk Infusions.
Have fun on your cruise. :]How can I dye my black hair back to blonde?
I'm begging you, please go to a professional salon. I'm a hairstylist and you don't know how many women come into the salon with black dye and want to be blonde again. I myself go from dark to light to dark and my hair takes a lot of damage each time.
f you attempt to do it yourself, know that you will cause damage and it may break off. Also know that buying a blonde hair color box or highlighting kit will not do it.
Call your local area salons and getting pricing first. Also you may be best off just getting a few highlights on top. That's what I'll be doing for my cruise next month.
The best thing to do is get to a salon and have it done. With a big vacation coming up do you want to risk a disaster?
Tint cannot lighten tint so you will have to strip your hair with bleach. I'm assuming you used a permanent color. If you would have used a semi, it would be a little easier, although black on blonde would stain pretty good anyway.
Going back from black is not easy and you can make a lot of mistakes, the first getting a lovely shade of orange. And remember that it won't be ';your'; natural blonde. They will have to bleach it up, maybe needing to do it twice. Since raw bleach isn't usually a pretty color, a toner or another blonde tint with peroxide will be used. That you won't know until you see what the bleach does, to know what product or shade to use.
Do yourself a favor and get it done. You want to enjoy your trip and feel your best.
edit....getting it done professionally will do the least amount of damage and you don't need to wait it out. And Brandy says to get a color you like and bring it in. Non pros don't know what they are talking about sometimes and give misinformation. Pros don't need you to bring in product even to show the color......they have color swatches and books to choose from and better products. I personally wouldn't use such products that were bought at the drug store.
buy a powder lightener
ion makes a great one
and 40 vol developer
this will remove the color
then dye it the closest shade of blond to it
youll have to compromise and not go straight to blond
use a protein rinse every 3 days for a month after that
and dont dye it for that month
if you want it lighter than that color dye it again
Ehh, that's kind of hard.
Normally it will wash out, and as your hair grows, turn back to blonde. The healthiest way, is to wait it out.
Since it's dark hair, it will be really hard to try and dye it with normal hair dye. It wont be easy to cover it up.
The only other solution would be to bleach it, but that's not really good for your hair, and will most likely make it lighter then it was before.
My hair dresser said to NEVER dye your hair black. It's the hardest color to get out. The only thing i knoe is either to wait it out til the black fades or you can strip your hair back to its natural color. Go to any ';Beauty Supply places'; such as Sally's Beauty Supply/Ulta etc. They'll give you all the details and what you need to strip your hair.
well i had black hair before and it took me two years to get the black off
my hair but i think the fastest way is bleaching all your hair and then just dyin it blonde thats what i wuld do because it takes a long time to get it off with just dyien ur hair every three weeks
I would use live xxl blonde, but it would have to be gradually built up. it really works i died my hair again today and looks amazing =). In my opinion if you were just trying it out next time use a wash out one. Hope I helped =) x
You can't. You just have to wait until it fades. You can bleach your hair, but it will cause damage.
