Do you think the black hair only goes with dark complexions?

my hair is black, and i dyed it blond, yer but it looks nicer than when it is black. why is that? is it cos black hair just goes with darker complexions?Do you think the black hair only goes with dark complexions?
At first yes... definitely.





Especially when you first dye it black... now if you are a naturally black haired person I think you may just be being hard on yourself.





I'm naturally blonde and dyed my hair black and I looked like a corpse at first but after about a month I got a lot of people telling me It actually looked natural.





I liked it, and I think I could pull it off because I had black glasses... not all people can pull off black and I wouldn't try to do it again...





It's always a shock when you dye your hair... and it takes a while to get used to.. it usually ends up looking ok though after that adjustment period.Do you think the black hair only goes with dark complexions?
i personally think that your hair colour should never be 'lighter' than your skin colour (i'm not a fan of the tanned skin and bleached hair look... but that's just my opinion).





if you have hair that's much darker than your skin, it can help bring out your features (maybe that's why you prefer it?). either way, the only 'downside' to it is that you may be labelled as 'gothic'. but that will only be a problem if you see that as negative :)
I've seen darker skinned white people with light hair and also, of course, pale people with dark hair


I do think though that if you do have darker skin- tan, various browns- dark hair looks better, although there are exceptions
I am very pale and have black hair and its the nicest colour i've had it, it suits me. I think its a matter of personal taste and it might just be that you aren't used to it yet.
No it depends what the underlying color of the complexion is like olive or yellow......or blue ...I think some blonds on black hair and skin looks nice but some looks like straw ....a professional is best to match up the both....
not necessarily, my hair is very light brown naturally but i dye it nearly black %26amp; think it looks much nicer! think its down to the individual!
Black hair can work with light complexions. Black hair just suits you better.
I have blue eyes and I'm extremely pale skinned...and I have jet black hair!


Think 1950's and there was lots of black haired pale women in that era.
I think that black hair goes really well with pallor too. It's an amazing contrast.
mayb coz whn ppl wiv very pale skin have very dark hair they look kinda ghostly or gothic
