Will my black hair turn orange if I strip the color out?

I dyed my hair black three months ago but now im tired of it and I dont want it anymore. I wanted to bleach my hair but my friend told me it would turn orange( ewwww!!!). But I want to get it done at a salon, will the results still be that bad?Will my black hair turn orange if I strip the color out?
I just recently did this with my hair and it did not turn out well. My roots turned out a LOT lighter than the ends of my hair, and when I dyed over it.... my hair was bright orange (like carrot top). Because I did this, it took $125 for the salon to fix it, and I still have to go back once every 3 or 4 weeks to get a glaze put over it to keep the orange tones out of my now brown hair. The stylist told me if I had gone to her in the first place, it would have only cost me about $30 and it wouldn't have damaged my hair the way stripping it did.

My sister, who has kept her hair black for over a year, just stripped it, and it turned bright orange. Luckily the only reason it was stripped was to dye it a brown, so it wasn't horrible, but yes, your hair will turn orange if you do it yourself.





A stylist will know what you should do though, so I'd just go ahead and ask them.

like if you go to a cheap salon, then yes your hair WOULD turn orange-ish through time.


but if they use a really good hair dye on your hair, it should last.
