What is the biological difference between African/black hair and caucasian hair?

ive always wondered that. What is the biological difference between African/black hair and caucasian hair?
There is no difference in the hair it's self just how it grow out of the follicle (the root of the hair)

Straight hair has a round follicle

wavy has a oval follicle

the curlier the hair the flatter the follicle.

The reasong that most people with curly or wavy hair have to condition more is because of the chemicals that are applied to make it more managable.

African/Black hair is extremely curly usually so they relax more needing more added moisturizers.

Hope this answered your question.

god blessWhat is the biological difference between African/black hair and caucasian hair?
texture....but hair is chemically made up of the same thing--protein, keratin, and collagen. The texture of black hair is just different thats all. Thats like asking what is the difference between black skin and white skin....melanin
African hair is called ';horse hair'; its nappy and really dry - its also hard to grow out.

Caucasion hair is more softer and it grows about 1/2 an inche very month (depends).
african hair looks like little tiny springs when you see it up close, thats why its possibly to fro it up, whereas a caucasian hair is straight for the most part (can be wavy/curly but its completely different!)
