What highlight goes best with shoulder length black hair?

I'm trying to find a highlight that will look perfect in my hair. I'm not getting highlights everywhere. I just want one thick highlight on the side. I have shoulder length black hair. I also have a light to medium complection. I also want a color that is not normal such as blonde and brown. I want something to stand out like pink, blue, green, yellow and more! Your answers would be great help! Thankss

Red will be great. I think that they go really well together. you will need to bleach the bit of hair 1st and I know that Superdrug do a great hair colour range for bright colours. Purple would look good as well. Good luck :-)
red would look the best! Go to your hairstylist and tell her you want redlights by Matrix. That's what I use and it looks awesome there are diffrent shade you can use
I think that red would look great! my best friend has short hair and a few red highlights it looks really nice. Go for it!
a blue or red streak would be awesome in the front on the side
