What can i do to my dyed black hair to stop it looking so gothic & boring?

I recently dyed it, i love having dark hair but its starting to bore me %26amp; it looks quite gothic.


I was thinking about highlights?

you will go ginger ! ginger highlights are NOT a good look.. try getting some FAKE hair extentions in bright colours like pink n blue n add them in they will look ace.. or blonde.. its alot easier and you can mix and match yr look and its surprising how easy they are to use =)What can i do to my dyed black hair to stop it looking so gothic %26amp; boring?
I Have done the same , mine looks gothic too , Keep washing it and it should go a bit lighter , clip your fringe back with a sparkly clip Or get it cut into a 'Bob' , goth's dont have bobbed hair so people shouldnt mistake you for one , its what i did and people now say they like it and they dont call me gothic.
you could wear real or fake flowers in your hair above your ear or in back by a bun or ponytail for a very feminine look.


it's a cheaper alternative to highlights and definitely doesn't damage your hair the way highlights would.



Get a fringe and choppy layers.


Add cute hairclips, preferably from Acessorize.

Or you can even have colourful hair bands.


Accessorising is the way forward.
if you want coloured hair to fade quicker, use an anti-dandruff shampoo.


otherwise, find a striking colour such as a deep red (l'oreal live are good), just to take the edge off the jet blackeness.
Yes, some highlights would be good. I don't know what your skin tone is, but if it is warm (olive or tan) some gold highlights would look good.
Wear a bandanna until the colour grows out.
get it all choppy styled, then maybe add a white blonde chunk into the side.
