Try putting your hair in the ponytail first and then gell it, or what works better is hair spray. Try Freeze It! Mega Hold. You can find that in Wal-mart.What are some tips on geling black hair in to a ponytail when ever i gel my hair and try to put it in the?
first of all, i wouldn't use gel because it flakes and kinda makes your head look wet and too shiny. i suggest you use hairspray to just smooth down the flyaways, plus a messy ponytail looks better in my opinion. before putting up your hair, flat iron it and use the garnier fructis sleek and shine leave in conditioning cream. it defends against humidity, which can make your hair wavy again thoughout the day and makes your hair sleek and shiny!
2 words sister...............hair spray!!!!
Make sure you are using is for black hair. But, do you mean black hair as in color or hair that is on a Black person? I would assume Black person but no sure your question.
Try using a conditioning gel, like Let's Jam. It doesn't dry out like alcohol based gels and gives a lot of control.
wash it , use a flat iron(no gel) then it should be able to go up or ask your mom if she can purm it when you purm your hair it turns ALOT softer like other races(asian white hispanich ect.) then it will be easy to put up=)
Gel flakes and hairspray makes your hair crispy. I suggest using a deep conditioner and then to style use mousse. If you MUST use gel, then there's conditioning gel made especialy for African Americans. I use it because it makes me hair super soft and it smells great!
