How did non-brown eyes and non-black hair evolve?

Also are there rare examples of Asian, or African people with green eyes (barring interracial families)?

Can different eye color and hair color traits arise naturally from random mutation in an ethnicity that don't have them? How did non-brown eyes and non-black hair evolve?
surely this is down to mutations of the gene for eye and/or hair colour in two parents, this was then passed onto one of the children who would be homozygous recessive, hence the mutation would show as different coloured eyes...also in both these cases there may be co-dominance and thus more than one gene can be expressed at once, however i do not know enough on the subject to tell you exactly how...also in regard to your second question this is perfectly possible as it is possible for any race to aquire a characteristic not normally associated with them
