Can i get my black hair to dark brown without bleach?

I dyed my hair black about a month ago, but i hate it, can i go from black to dark brown without bleach? And if i were to bleach it, how much damage would it cause?my hair isnt damaged but it could be better. Thanks in advanced!Can i get my black hair to dark brown without bleach?
i would say ask for a lot of thin medium brown lowlights. it will counterbalance the darkness of the black and give you a brown tint to your hair. I know from experience I had really dark hair and I got light brown/carmel highlights in my hair and after one or two trips i now have medium/light brown hair.

Bleach would really damage it. You would need to gradually lighten it several times in order to lighten it. Dark to light is a more difficult color change than light to dark. Good luck :)
