How damaging is black hair dye?

I know all hair dye damages your hair, but does black hair dye damage it any more than other colors would? I am going to dye the underneath of my hair black and I want to know if it would dry out my hair more than any other dye would. thanks! How damaging is black hair dye?
no, it does as much (or as little i should say) damage as any other color. good luck! How damaging is black hair dye?
that doesn't make any sense? (the last answer)

semi-permanent is the least bit damaging. the amount of damage is dependent on the strength of the developer and, of course, the condition of your hair. 10volume will give you the least amount of damage and 40volume will cause the most damage. It also depends on the amount of ammonia present in the dye itself. This varies from manufacturer to manufacturer but not from color to color (in the same line) so no, just because it's black color doesn't make it any better or worse for your hair.

coloring hair does not make your hair stronger by adding molecules...that is not how color works at all. Unfortunately, someone who has never learned exactly how color works might believe that but it's just not true.
Black hair is actually the strongest hair. Hair strength is partially determined by the number of molecules in the hair shaft, and the darker the color, the more molecules are present. Rinse your hair out in cool water and use a salon quality conditioner and your hair will be fine.
no.

im a hairstylist

and the worst thing for your hair is bleach

black is hard to get out tho.

if its something you want

do it

but i beg you not to use wal-mart or loreal brand hair dye

go to a salon and get it done

because ';box color'; no matter the color is no where near as good as what proffessionals use.
