What colour highlights should I get done if I have black hair?

What colour highlights should I get done if I have black hair?

I am an Indian. I have medium tone skin with dark brown eyes.

What colour highlights shall I get done?

And yeah... I don't want to do blue/pink/purple highlights!

I just want a natural colour..Thanks!What colour highlights should I get done if I have black hair?
Personally, I think black hair looks fantastic just one- toned. To add more oomph just use some shine enhancing products to really flair it. There's nothing more gorgeous than seeing really nice, rich, black hair.

If you're really desperate to get highlights the best option for colour would be some caramel highlights. This won't really look natural on real black hair so first of all, dye your hair a few shades lighter so it's a dark brown.

Dark brown will compliment the caramel highlights more and it will look way more natural.

Good luck hun, but remember there's nothing better than seeing beautiful, pure black hair! Don't feel pressure to change your hair so much :)

I have dark hair and dark eyes, and I had blonde streaks with lighter coper coloured streaks. another time I had red streaks. Get advice from a good colourist look around at other people who are similar to you and whose hair you like and ask them who does their hair, tell them wow you look so great who does your hair I really like it, they will tell you, most ladies are only too happy to tell and so are men. I dont know if you are male or female sorry.
in my opinion ion order to have a nice look you would have to lighten up your black hair....black hair should not be highlighted the contrast of nay other color even brown would be too much of a contrast you would need to lighten up your base color to a brown and then choose 2-3 shades lighter and highlights.
hey my friend is the exact same case.

i told her to get chestnut or bright blonde. or even a little but of copper or red.

any of these will work and look GREAT! :)

good luck
Stick to colours 1-2 shades lighter than you natural colour. It will make it look more natural. If you go to a stylist they usually have samples of colour =]
Why dont you just dye your whole head a lighter colour or something instead of trying to figure out what highlights to get done.
In my opinion, black hair looks good with red. Or, it just looks good black; embrace your fantastic color!
