How do i dye over black hair without bleaching it?

I dyed my hair black about 3 times my life %26amp; now iv'e decided to dye it a fusha color %26amp; it only dyed my roots. I knew it was going to happen but, i tried it anyways. I really don't feel like frying my hair by bleaching it 8 times. Any hair dye that can dye over blackk? Nothing works.How do i dye over black hair without bleaching it?
I also have dark hair and am getting bright pink and purple highlights. but you cant achieve the bright color unless you go to a pro or bleach it.





just think of it this way if you have black paper and get a red crayon and draw on it your only going to get a tint. it wont show as bright as it would on white paper.





my advice would be just bleach it, then after the dying process is over just take really good care of it. and use a protein treatment on the hair and that will give you all the proteins and things your hair is missing, from the bleaching and dying process. *Thats what im going to do.

If you have a Sally Beauty Supply nearby, go buy Ion Brilliance Color Corrector. It will strip the artificial color from your hair without damaging your hair or stripping the natural color. You may have to buy a couple of boxes since you have black hair. There's nothing that will dye over black but that stuff is great!
In order to a) not fry your hair and b) not have it turn out a funky color, you might need to go to a professional salon and have them strip the color. Then you can re-dye it yourself. But I would also pay them to do a good deep conditioning on your hair. It will be worth it, especially if you intend to re-dye your hair again right away.
