What color goes and compliments black hair?

I going shopping tomorrow and I'm looking for back to school outfits. I really want to find some with colors that look good with my black hair. If i don't find the colors, I'll just order online. Last year I wore some outfits that made it look so bad. So any suggestions? I also have dark brown eyes and glasses, if that helps. Would Coral work?What color goes and compliments black hair?

No, coral probably wouldn't be your best bet. From the sounds of it, you have a cool skin tone, and coral is definitely a warm color that probably wouldn't work as well on you. Here are the colors I think would work for you:



~Purples (from lavender to plum..I love purple in particular for dark-haired/dark-eyed girls)

~Blues (sky blue to navy, any of the shades will work)

~Pink (but not in a coral shade..think more of an icy carnation pink or even a bright fuschia)

~Gray, White, and of course, Black

~Red (a bright, blue-based red or a deeper, darker red such as burgundy and not an orange-based one such as brick red)



In general, icy pastels and even jewel tones are going to look incredibly beautiful on you. Colors to avoid for you though would probably be the very warm colors, such as yellow, orange, and any orange or yellow-based colors. (For example, coral is an orange-based pink, and wouldn't be the best compliment to your hair and skin tone) Good luck!
coral would work..and also like greens on people with black hair I also think pink would look good or blues....If you have a vanity in your area I would go there and look around they are kind of expensive so if you cant afford it there you can just get some ideas of what your looking for they are set up so that everything is seperated by colors- each wall is its own color so its easier to find what you want.
Black hair lets see most of the time a deep red is my personal favorite but you also have to consider your skin tone. Try taking someone with you to a fabric store and hold up various colors and see which colors make you look sickly or which ones make you look good. Try light, medium and dark of each. Dark red might look good and light red bad. Take notes the whole time, if someone from the store ask just tell them your just picking stuff out for someone and they told you to choose some colors.



But what do I know, I'm a stupid guy that just knows what I like to look at personally.
i always think red or blue looks awesome with black hair. i dont know why i think cause the hair color has so much to it. worst comes to worst you could always wear black but i think a color is nice. you really should try to try on a bunch of different things and see what fits best. mainly it is what looks best on your body if it lokos great with your hair thats wonderful but if it doesnt look good on t hat that is a huge issue. im sure you;ll find something great.
most colours go with black hair, especially bright colours like pink, yellow and blue and purple. but if you did wear bright colours you have to team it with neutral colours like white and black or you will look over the top.

i have dark hair and dark eyes as well and i get away with wearing most colours :)
Umm, Red( it would make u really POP lol in good way) would be good, Beige or goldey , i would stay away from anything really pale, as im just assuming if u have black hair u might have light skin (lots of my black haired friends do:P) and it would wash you out.
Yes coral works. Anything bright will look awesome, like orange. Also white! And black would look really cool because it will bring out your face!
