I have these skinny jeans that im cutting into shorts, and having my mom hem the bottoms. But I want them to be black instead of what they are now (an ugly shade of silvery blue). Can I do this with black hair dye? I was planning on doing this when i redo my roots this weekend black. And just use the excess to dye the pants. Will this weaken the fabric and make it all gross and rippy? Or will it work fine. Do you have any suggestions?Can I dye my clothes with black hair dye?
I think it would probably make the pants very tacky even if washed.
Try going to a craft store and getting fabric dye.
It's not that expensive.
