cause i don't know anyone like that, and thats about the hottest combination you can get... so is it rare, or do i just not know the right people?Is the genetic combination Green eyes and Black hair rare or something?
NO, my cousin has eyes that are like lime green, it is so beautiful and she has dark hair, dark and straight hair. Could you guys please asnwer my question?

well genectics work by the dominating chromosome (eg. brown eyes are dominant over blue) so maybe u just need a mother and father with the green eyes and black hair genetics that would produce the hotness u want =)

My Aunt has Green eyes %26amp; Thick Curley Black hair down to her waist (she live in Orlando, Flordia) I wonder for years how she could be my MOM's sister. She looks nothing like the rest of her sister, but they're Blood sister's with the same mother %26amp; father. My Mom WAS very, very, light skin(ed) with sandy brown hair %26amp; light brown eyes. i don't think so...I've seen boys and girls with green eyes and black hair.I think a unique combination that is rare is having really pale skin and black hair.Did you know that people with pale skin can't have black hair,that's why most people with light skin colors always have brown hair,unless you dye it,but i'm talking about natural hair.

I don't know how rare it is. That's what I have and everyone in my family has...my parents and sister.
I think it's because blue eyes are a recesive gene and and black hair is a dominant gene that most people usually have both hair and eyes either dominant or recesive not a mixture of both.


Someone made a completely racist remark on here. American indians were here first which in reality is the same as the mexican people except that it is not two different countries. Everyone that lives here now for the most part was brought here (or families many years ago) The green eyes black hair combo would have NEVER been origionally from here. It migrated here. And for the racist person who made the comment. If your so worried about how others in america are breeding worry about yourself first and be sure to breed within your own rae and worry less about who others are with. Many latin american people have green eyes.

I know a girl who's African American and she has black hair and green eyes, but she's the only one I know. I think it's kinda rare because most people who have black hair are of different ethnic groups and they mostly have brown eyes.

Nah its not rare... you just probably don't live in an area where you see alot of that. Around NY/NJ/CT there are many people like that.
Go to the UK if you like that look! It's Celtic and common there! My husband is English and has dark brown hair with stunning blue eyes. I'd say MOST people with dark hair there have blue, green or hazel eyes. Ah, that look melts me!





***I just read some other answers to this question. If you're trying to find this combo on the west coast of the US...good luck! Unfortunately we have too many hispanic genes mixing with the caucasion genes here and these stunning eye colors are being wiped out. Obviously the brown eyes are taking over in the border states, but luckily there are still many areas in the US and Europe where the population is predominantly caucasion. These are the strongholds for the dark hair/light eye features.


For this reason, it is a shame the US is such a melting pot. I wish people would be more diligent about sustaining the cauasion features in the US and at least TRY to stay within their own culture when choosing a mate!

I think it is unusual. Green eyes are the rarest eye color anyway, only about 5% of the population has them. And I have only seen two people in my life with black hair and green eyes. One is my Dad =) My hair is dark brown, not black, but I got the green eyes too.

It is rare. I have green eyes and medium-dark brown hair. Not too many people have it. Both my kids got blue eyes and 1 blonde-other brown hair. I havent seen too many with green and black hair. I have lived in South Dakota, New Jersey, Illinois, and Michigan. And travelled to Washington, Wyoming, California, Nebraska, Iowa, Indiana, Minnesota,Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, New York, Connecticut,Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, Maryland, Washington DC. So out of the 18 states worth of people I can only speak that it is not usual. ;-P
