I have naturally dark brown hair and i dyed it pitch black, my mom and friends dont like it and I want to dye it light brown. will that work? or will it turn my hair orange ish? maybe i should dye it medium brown? but i would prefer light brown. 5 stars to best answer. What happens when someone with black hair dyes it light brown?
Um.. i dunno you would have to bleach your hair first because putting brown in it won't stick..so i would suggest going back to the parlor/salon and have them bleach your hair then add the light brown, whenever you dye your hair your in risk of damaging it..but i think you should be good..anyways once you go to the salon ask them if they can put products in your hair that will help ';heal your hair from the dye';, it will kinda make your hair..in a sense healthier i guess loll..
if you don't want to do that then try these products you can buy to help remove it .. some good ones are.... Color Fix by Jheri Redding it is designed to help remove unwanted permanent dye. However.. it smells horrible but if you leave it in for about 15-20 minuets than rinse you will see that it gets rid of most of the black hair colouring. But because black is such a dark colour it will try to keep coming back..so the best bet is going to a professional salon or the person who dyed your hair.. hope this helps :]What happens when someone with black hair dyes it light brown?
the brown dye will not do anything except dye over the black. you won't be able to tell. if you want to get all of the black out of your hair at once, you'll have to dye it blonde. the process is very damaging and you will probably need to cut a considerable amount off. here's a wikihow: http://www.wikihow.com/Go-from-Black-to-/a>
I have done this a few times...
For now I wouldn't try dying it at all. Black will fade really fast generally. If you try dying it now not much is going to happen except that it will really damage your hair. Give it a week or two and it will probably be almost back to it's original color.
