How do you get dyed black hair to brown?

I have dyed black hair but want to go lighter I haven't dyed my hair for ages though. Can you by a lightner or something from a shop which actually works?How do you get dyed black hair to brown?
I remember for my sister's wedding my mom's hair got dyed pitch black by a stylist. So it was a week before the wedding, so she just waited 48 hours then went to her usual stylist (she was trying out a new lady, but the lady got a little carried away with the dye, so it's good to go to someone you trust), anyway they died her hair back to brown and put really cool copper highlights in it. So yeah your hair can be died back to brown. It just might take your hair a couple of tries if your doing kits at home. I would recommend though going to a salon and getting it done professionally because it always looks better than an at home job.How do you get dyed black hair to brown?

From experience if you put bleach onto dyed black hair it will go orange, and then if you put a dye over the top of that depending how dark it is it should be ok, but if you put blonde onto orange it will go orange still.





I'd just maybe put a dark brown onto the black, but try and find a shop or retailer that sells hair dyes for people who have naturally or dyed dark hair. These contain lightner in them and will be more effective them the ordinary dyes.
i wouldnt do it yourself i dyed my hair brown from being blonde i put pre lightner on loads of hair dyes wiv bleach in them my hair was a complete mess so i went to my hairdressers they sorted it out for me you will need some treatments as well it took a while for my to get bac to how it was b4
Get those sorts of stuff that have the color brown and yeah dye it.
dye it really blonde but it will go ginger and then dye it brown on top
bleach is the only way to lift the black
