How could I get my black hair to white blonde?

Well, I really want to dye my hair vibrant punky colours like shocking blue and bright pink etc. However, I'd have to get my hair to a very light blonde first....

I've heard bleaching really wreaks your hair, so I was wondering if there were any alternatives?

Eg, dying my hair a dark blonde, then dying it a lighter blonde on top of that?

The only way to get hair blonde is to bleach it no matter what color you are starting with. Although bleaching is bad for your hair they make hair bleach that leaves your hair smoother then you started. I have been bleaching my hair white blonde for over seven years now, i used to spend hundreds of dollars to get it this color but i have found a secret. I buy the $3 hair bleach at Walmart and then buy gray and silver shampoo from sally's beauty supply that is aroung $8 its in a purple bottle it takes the orange color out of your hair from the bleach. i had black hair and tried bleaching it and it completely fried it, i suggest not bleaching it

dying any hair color to an extreme other color itll fry your hair, which doesnt look good

example have black hair and dye it white its going to be super fried

if you have blonde hair and try black its probally going to fry it due to the amount of chemicals changing such a deep color

they have bright dye at hot topic that works well and shows up well in any color hair, but it only stays for a few weeks
sorry to say,

you'll have to go to a salon and get the color stripped out.

then a color put on top.

thats what i had to do. and its verrrry expensive, too.

sucks but thats what happens when you get black hair.

and i'll probably never do it again, haha.
go buy some product from sally's beauty and hair shop thingy and they will help you out ,ask the clerk

it basically washes out the dark color so the lighter one can show up just go there it helps
