How can I turn dyed black hair into dark brown without using bleach or dye?

I recently had my hair dyed dark brown at a hair salon but it turned black. How can I lighten it to medium-dark brown without using bleach and re-dyieng it?

Will it fade after a while and if it does, does that mean it will turn into dark brown or what?

Also will using anti-dandruff shampoo change it to brown.

Thanks for all your help. =]How can I turn dyed black hair into dark brown without using bleach or dye?
*First of all is it black black or just really really dark brown?

*If its dark brown the yes use an anti-dandruff shampoo, wait and see.

*If its black you will have to give it a bleach bath, which is bleach mixed with a shampoo that you massage for 5 minutes, or more depending on how light you want to go %26amp; how strong the black locked in.

*Then recolour it with a demi aka. semi colour to make it the brown you want; (to achieve desired colour mix colour under an above desired colour number with developer).

*If thats confusing, then you're better off going to a reliable hair salon or go back to the salon you went to and complain.

*(Colour stripper is just a fancy word for bleach so don't use it. plus you have to recolour anyway to achieve a true colour unless your happy with copper or yellow or green tones.)

*A good stylist prefers you to be honest about their work, instead wasting their time afterwards to fix it up.

*Don't be scared to complain because they value your business and want you to come back unless they're sweaty Betty's from around the corner.

*An alternative to bleaching if it worries you, the get foils to lighten the look.

*A good idea is to also do a strand test to see what your hair can tolerate to ensure no breakage or damage.

*Cut a piece of hair from the back, under the layers, sticky-tape up one end to hold strands together and bleach it.

I think you will have to either dye it or just let it grow out.

I have heard other things like using lemon juice can lighten your hair, but no idea if it is true.

Depending on the dye used it may fade a little, but probably not by very much.

Using anti-dandruff shampoo will have no effect.
washing it with a non color protecting shampoo with definitely lighten it up after a while...that's what always happens to me over time..so if you want it lightened sooner just wash your hair more..Oh and another thing that fades hair dye is chlorine like in swimming pools, its kinda cold for that but just so you know for the future..=)
ok this really works my friends hair was black black and i put bleach in it and it turned it to brown after 50mins it was really black... but if you have ligth brown u can keep bleach in it for 3 mins and take it out it will kill the color faster or just wash alot and let it die down =]
You just have to strip the color. Go to a beauty supply and ask for hair color remover. You can do it yourself. You can also go back to the salon and have your beautician strip the color.
the only way you can get your hair brown is to either dye or bleach it

(dye it a lighter brown color if u have really dark hair)

and yes it will fade

using anti dandruff shampoo will not lighten your hair
Just keep washing it and it will fade after about a month. This happens to me and I do use dandruff shampoo to lighten it.
I recently had my hair dyed black (i have brown hair) %26amp; within 3-4 washes the brown slowly started to return ^___^ so just wait, it'll be fine!
you should squeeze some lemon juice onto your hair and let it sit out in the sun.
you cant without dye
it should just fade and go to a dark brown .. at least thats what my m8s hair does x
